Firearms Study Series – Community & Health Impact

October 12 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm

Free

The League of Women Voters has invited qualified, respected leaders to address specific issues related to gun safety at public meetings. Speakers include experts from the legal profession, current and former law enforcement officers, business owners (both for and against concealed carry) and shooting sports enthusiasts.

Our local League will promote discussion of Iowa’s recent change in firearms related laws and the impact on public officials and private citizens. Our goal is to educate and engage voters. We approach this discussion with open minds, seeking reliable information.

We hope you will join us on October 12 at the Railroad Clubhouse at 7pm to hear retired OPD Lt. Mike McDonough speak on issues of responsible gun ownership and Christine Doyle, ARNP, CPNP, a medical professional speak on the health and safety issues of having more firearms available at home and in public.
