Des Moines River Scenic Overlook

Follow the path that leads behind the Rock Island Train Depot to uncover this hidden gem. At the end of the trail, visitors will be greeted with a breathtaking view of the Des Moines River and the remnants of a bridge that once connected to Eldon. In addition, information panels detailing the history of several of Eldon's historic buildings are on display. Take a seat on one of the benches, breathe in the fresh air, and relax.
